It started with a mustard seed of a dream planted in our hearts by God.

Every wonderfully made child has a unique gift and deserves a fun, supportive place to play, grow, and SHINE!

2024 was a year of healing, immense gratitude, and redirection for our family. Around the time our son Mack was born, we learned that Mike’s employment would be ending in spring 2024 due to his company’s acquisition. As we welcomed our third child, fear and anxiety about the future crept in, but we prayed fervently for clarity, purpose, and provision.

The months following Mack’s birth proved to be transformative. After a traumatic delivery, Mike’s time at home allowed him to be there for me during my physical and mental healing journey—a gift we’ll forever treasure. It also gave us the chance to take an unforgettable cross-country trip as a family to the Northeast, a dream we’d long held but never had the time for. During this season of rest and reflection, we began to pray and think deeply about our future, asking God to please guide our steps.

Mike shared a lifelong dream of working with children as a PE teacher, inspired by his love for serving others. Meanwhile, I reflected on my own journey in pediatric therapy—the therapists and patients who inspired me, taught me, and changed my life—and our shared passion for creating meaningful, inclusive spaces and special gatherings. One night, before Mack’s surgery, I had a vivid dream that sparked an idea I couldn’t ignore. I told Mike about the vibrant joy we’d seen during our trip—like the wonder of the Color Factory—and shared a wild vision: what if we opened an inclusive play and therapy center in Mount Pleasant?

Mike didn’t hesitate. He said, “Wow, babe, I love it. Let’s make it happen!” From there, everything began to fall into place. We found the perfect space next to a beloved local coffee shop, drafted a business proposal after bedtime and during naps, and leaned on the incredible support of family, friends, neighbors, and prayer warriors.

We were even blessed to collaborate with Groh Playrooms, a designer featured by HGTV and The New York Times, to bring our vision to life. Their creativity and expertise helped us create a space that inspires inclusion, joy, and a sense of wonder and purpose. From every color to every detail, the design of AllwonderBILITY reflects our mission to celebrate each child’s unique gift and ability.

At AllwonderBILITY, we celebrate all children and embrace their stories, achievements, talents, and challenges with compassion, grace, and kindness. We believe every child is made for a purpose and deserves access to joyful play and movement with friends. Recognizing that we all play, move, wonder, and learn differently, we find beauty in those differences and celebrate them.

Our inclusive space is thoughtfully designed for:
• Sensory-rich experiences
• Milestone development classes
• Therapy services
• Kindness enrichment programs
• Special celebrations and events
• Open gym play: Our open gym and equipment have been thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind, incorporating ADA-friendly components to ensure that all children can play and explore.

Our journey hasn’t been without fear or doubt, but time and time again, God has reminded us of His promises—through rainbows, scripture, and signs of resilience like hummingbirds. Our logo, featuring a rainbow and our hummingbird mascot “Lity,” carries deep meaning: a reflection of hope, resilience, and the belief that everyone is wonderfully made.

Founded by parents—a physical therapist mama and a loving, nurturing dad—inspired by their three children, each fearfully and wonderfully made by God, AllwonderBILITY is a labor of love and a dream built to honor their beautiful stories and every child’s story and purpose. Our own children will always be our greatest purpose and the center of our hearts, but this journey gives us an opportunity and purpose-filled calling that extends to helping other families feel the JOY and belonging that has shaped our own lives.

It is with immense gratitude and excitement that we introduce AllwonderBILITY, opening in Mount Pleasant in Spring/Summer 2025. Together, we will celebrate milestones and reach new goals, embrace individuality, and nurture the unique light within every child. Thank you to everyone who has prayed, supported, and believed in us. Let’s create a space where all children can shine!

With Love,

Alex and Mike Verissimo
